Arctic Circle Trail
- Kangerlussuaq to Sisimiut, skiing with sledge.
Now it is possible to get on an begin vintertur to Greenland. A trip of 14 days with 10 days on skis from Kangerlussuaq to Sisimiut, totaling 180 km of skiing with sledge when we pull all our equipment. Guides:
We only have guides who are accustomed to winter mountain, either from Sirius Patrol or Jaegercorps, to ensure a memorable and safe experience in the Greenlandic winter mountain.
Hike from Kangerlussuaq to Sisimiut:
It is a famous hiking trip, as many have done, however, few made the trip on skis. The few who travel here in winter is often by dogsled and snowmobile. Here is the opportunity to put civilization behind him skiing with sledge and go out into the great Greenlandic winter mountain. We pass only a few small huts along the route. An opportunity to experience nature, winter, silence, etc. Simultaneously, you learn a lot of things. It requires a good shape and willing to work even when it gets cold, but we can also promise you a super good and safe introduction to the winter mountain. Where you through the day's work, learning routines and workflows.
We give all our experiences on so I will be as well prepared as possible. It would also be strange if there falls a few tall tales along the way, during the evening cosiness in tents.
Program
Day 1:
We arrive in Kangerlussuaq, where we stay overnight at KTC hostel, a nice and cozy little hostel. Here we pack food and equipment, so everyone knows what we are and why. The first instructions to the pan comes underway.
Day 2:
We pack finished, take a ride in a bus out to the ice and watch it impress ice climb ahead of us. Often you see musk oxen and reindeer underway.
Afterwards we go out to our starting place. Here we kill tenant, it takes time for the first time, and we must get used to the cold.
Day 3 to 12
We go off on the classic hiking from Kangerlussuaq to Sisimiut, this trip skiing with sledge. We enjoy the beautiful scenery and stunning scenery. A desolate landscape, where we just pass a few huts along the way, maybe we see snowmobiles and dog sleds on our way, otherwise we are alone in a quiet nature. While we go skiing with sledge towing after us. Undervej observed lessons in skiing, riding with sledge, tent, torch, cold, dress, etc. Everything needed to move into the winter mountains.
All participating actively in dragging all our gear, hit villages, cooking, etc.
A trip for novice mountain in winter, but it requires a good shape and go on to. But you do not have to ski, to participate.
Day 12:
Arrive in Sisimiut and accommodated at the Hotel. Here, heat and a soft drink can be enjoyed at night. And we maintain our equipment and pack it together.
Day 13:
Free to watch and see Sisimiut. Here is the opportunity to buy themselves a trip by dogsled, snowmobile, see the city and the amazing Greenlandic nature. You can visit Sisimiut Museum, art workshop, where there is opportunity to buy tupilaks, etc. There are also skin workrooms and much more.

We thank you for a good trip and fly from Sisimiut to Kangerlussuaq and on home to Denmark

Difficulty 3 (1-5) regular
It is not a technically difficult ride. But one should be in a good basic shape because there are many things to learn and we pull all our own equipment and food for 10 days. All this happens in cold between minus 20 to 30 degrees. May occur as low as minus 40 individual times.
A good preparation trip, if you want to winter mountain itself, or want to see on a trip across the ice cap is nothing.

Appendix:
The price includes:
- Flights Copenhagen - Greenland round trip, with 20 kg baggage (overweight paid themselves)
- Flight Sisimiut - Kangerlussuaq, with 20 kg baggage (overweight paid themselves)
- 1 night at KTC hostel in a shared room, Kangerlussuaq
- Trip to the ice sheet in Kangerlussuaq by bus.
- 2 nights in Sisimiut Hotel or similar conditions, with breakfast
- All meals, from start up in Kangerlussuaq to Sisimiut
- Common equipment: first aid, satellite phone, cooking utensils, tent, snow shovel, etc..
- Sledge, skis, ski boots and companions
- Guide, from "your adventure"
- All taxes
The price does not include:
- Personal equipment (all personal clothing, pads, sleeping bag, eating utensils, etc.)
- Possibly. cancellation

- Meals in Sisimiut while staying at the hotel until her return (though breakfast is included)
Catering (change may occur):
All meals, doing our own, so expect to lend a hand.
- In Kangerlussuaq, normal good food. We try to get hold of musk-ox meat or reindeer meat for dinner.
- During the trip
o Breakfast, Oatmeal with raisins, crisp bread with butter, tea and coffee
o During the day, biscuits, chocolate, nuts and candy, and hot juice
o Dinner, soup or porridge (short stop)
o Dinner, tørmad we pour hot water and boil. As well as tea, coffee, cocoa.

If you want to rent a sleeping bag, instead of investing in one, it is possible.
